          Something that a lot of families experience is divorce and remarriage. People that have never experienced it in their life don’t really know how much of an impact it puts on everyone's life in the family that is going through it. While children and spouses that have gone through it can end up really damaged because of it.       There are so many factors that can go into why people get divorced. However, researchers have found that the most common reason that people are getting divorced is because of a lack of commitment in the marriage. In other words, one person in the partnership is not being loyal to the other and is cheating on him or her. Some of the other common reasons that people are getting divorced are because there is too much arguing, infidelity, marrying too young, unrealistic expectations, lack of equality in the relationship, lack of preparation for marriage, and abuse.           What is the purpose of parenting? To some, this might be a dumb question. However, it is important to ask yourself if you have or want children of your own in the future. When I first heard this question, I also thought it was kind of weird. I was thinking how could someone not know the answer? I then started to actually think about it and I found myself wondering. There could be so many different possible answers. As for the answer, I wrote the purposes of parenting are to raise children to be good, kind, generous people. Teach young children the right concepts and behaviors. It is also important to show children love so they know what it feels like to feel whole. While I was writing this blog post I decided to look up the internet’s answer to what the purpose of parenting is. APA.org says that the purpose of parenting is ensuring children's health and safety, preparing children for life as productive adults, and transmitting cultural values. This answer is very similar
